NEUROLOGICAL PHYSIOTHERAPY

Phil Ladlow

BSc, BAppSci (Physio), MPhysio (Neurological Physiotherapy), Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction, Churchill Fellow.

Phil is originally from Melbourne, moving to Hobart in 1992 to deliver Physiotherapy services in public and private hospital settings & to indulge in his love of the great outdoors.

He has a passion for the utilisation of education and movement based therapy as a means of engaging, motivating and empowering clients in optimising their health and function and achieving their goals.

Following 2 years of postgraduate study in Neurological Physiotherapy in Melbourne, Phil returned to Hobart in 2000, founding a private practice to provide neurological rehabilitation physiotherapy services to the Tasmanian community.

In 2008 Phil's business Neuromoves combined with Jason Rogers' Southern Physio to form AllCare Physiotherapy, gaining a solid reputation in the Southern Tasmanian health network.

After receiving a SARRAH grant in 2008, Phil studied rehabilitation Pilates and has since integrated this method into his work with clients with Neurological conditions, persistent pain, vestibular & balance disorders and general deconditioning.

He has also mentored and educated with Polestar Pilates Australia, teaching courses throughout Australia, as well as lecturing in Neuroscience for Health Science students at the University of Tasmania (UTAS).

In 2020 Phil was one of 110 Australians awarded a Churchill Fellowship, embarking on his worldwide study tour in 2023. His project involved exploring ways to maximise recovery from neurological injury & disease through the utilisation of biotechnology including virtual reality, robotics and other neuroplasticity enhancing devices. Outside of work, Phil loves immersing in nature with family & friends, regularly engaging in bushwalking, mountain biking & surfing adventures.
